Il aurait au moins pu centrer la galaxie !<br \/>\nBin oui, sauf que si j\u2019avais centr\u00e9 la galaxie je n\u2019aurais pas eu le quasar QSO 0957 + 561 A et B dans le champ alors que c\u2019est lui le sujet principal de cette image.<br \/>\nAllez, faites un petit effort. Albert et sa th\u00e9orie de la relativit\u00e9 g\u00e9n\u00e9rale. La courbure de l\u2019espace-temps \u00e0 proximit\u00e9 d\u2019un objet tr\u00e8s massif, les mirages gravitationnels, tout \u00e7a.<br \/>\nC\u2019est ce que l\u2019on voit avec le quasar double de la Grande Ourse, alias QSO 0957 + 561 A ET B. D\u00e9couvert en 1979, Il s\u2019agit du premier cas de lentille gravitationnelle connu.<br \/>\nVisible comme deux points bleut\u00e9s l&rsquo;un au dessus de l&rsquo;autre dans le haut de l&rsquo;image, A est l\u2019image du quasar lui-m\u00eame et B son image fant\u00f4me due \u00e0 une galaxie massive (invisible sur mon image) qui fait effet de lentille. Avec un redshift z de 1.41, la distance du quasar est estim\u00e9e \u00e0 8.7 milliards d\u2019ann\u00e9es lumi\u00e8re et celle de la galaxie lentille avec un redshif z de 0.355 \u00e0 3.7 milliards d\u2019ann\u00e9es lumi\u00e8re.<br \/>\nMesurant 0.22 x 0.42 seconde d\u2019arc, la galaxie YGKOW G1 se trouve pratiquement dans l\u2019axe du composant B, \u00e0 seulement 1 seconde d\u2019arc. Elle fait partie d\u2019un amas de galaxie qui contribue lui aussi \u00e0 l\u2019effet de lentille.<br \/>\nLes composants du quasar sont s\u00e9par\u00e9es par 6 secondes d\u2019arc et la magnitude globale est de 17 avec 16.7 pour A et 16.5 pour B<br \/>\nREMARQUE:<br \/>\nD&rsquo;apr\u00e8s une \u00e9tude conduite avec le satellite Hubble en 2014, le quasar se trouverais \u00e0 environ 14 milliards d&rsquo;ann\u00e9es lumi\u00e8re et la galaxie lentille \u00e0 environ 4 milliards!<br \/>\nUn mot tout de m\u00eame \u00e0 propos de la galaxie NGC3079. Elle se trouve \u00e0 un peu plus de 50 millions d\u2019ann\u00e9es lumi\u00e8re de la Terre et est de magnitude 11.5. Il s\u2019agit d\u2019une galaxie montrant une forte activit\u00e9 en son c\u0153ur et elle est d&rsquo;ailleurs class\u00e9e comme galaxie de Seyfert.
