R\u00e9gion sud de notre satellite au petit matin du 12 ao\u00fbt. On reconna\u00eet imm\u00e9diatement le grand crat\u00e8re Tycho d’un diam\u00e8tre de 85km d’o\u00f9 partent des \u00ab\u00a0rayons\u00a0\u00bb dus \u00e0 un impact violent survenu il y a seulement 109 millions d’ann\u00e9es; c’est donc un \u00ab\u00a0jeune\u00a0\u00bb crat\u00e8re !
\nLes dinosaures et autres reptiles qui peuplaient la Terre \u00e0 cette \u00e9poque ont d\u00fb \u00eatre les t\u00e9moins de cette collision titanesque et ont peut-\u00eatre aussi souffert, quelques jours plus tard, quand des d\u00e9bris de l’impact, \u00e9ject\u00e9s dans l’espace, ont frapp\u00e9 notre plan\u00e8te.
\nUn peu plus bas, il y a aussi le c\u00e9l\u00e8bre crat\u00e8re Clavius.
